San Antonio Spurs Make 2 Roster Moves
USA TODAY Sports

The San Antonio Spurs most recently lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 123-87 on Tuesday evening in Oklahoma.

They will play their next game against the Sacramento Kings (at home) on Friday evening.

On Thursday, the team made two roster moves.

Via Carolina Teague: "The San Antonio Spurs today announced that the team has recalled Blake Wesley and Sidy Cissoko from the Austin Spurs.

Wesley posted 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in his lone appearance with Austin, while Cissoko in three games has averaged 9.7 points and 5.7 rebounds. Per @SpursPR"

Cissoko was the 44th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and has yet to make his debut for the Spurs (he played in five preseason games).

Wesley was the 25th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Norte Dame.

He has played in three games so far this season and is averaging 2.3 points and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 37.5% from the field.

The Spurs are 3-8 in their first 11 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a six-game losing streak and 1-4 in the five games they have hosted on their home floor in San Antonio.

Last season, the Spurs were the 15th seed in the west with a 22-60 record and missed the NBA playoffs for the fourth straight year.

That said, there is a lot of excitement around the franchise because of rookie Victor Wembanyama.
