San Antonio Spurs Make A Roster Move
USA TODAY Sports

On Friday evening, the San Antonio Spurs faced off against the New Orleans Pelicans in Louisiana.

The Pelicans won the game by a score of 121-106, and the Spurs will not play their next game until Wednesday, when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.

On Saturday, the Spurs announced that they had made a roster move by assigning Blake Wesley to the Austin Spurs (G League).

Via The Austin Spurs on Saturday: "OFFICIAL: Blake Wesley has been assigned to the Austin Spurs and will be available for both road games in Mexico City."

The Austin Spurs play the Mexico City Capitanes on Sunday and Tuesday, so it's possible that Wesley could be back with the Spurs for Wednesday's game with the Timberwolves.

Wesley was the 25th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and is in his second season.

He is currently averaging 1.4 points per contest while shooting 37.5% from the field.

Over 42 games, his career averages are 4.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 32.3% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point range.
