A new loan from PIMCO to Inter Milan owners Suning will give the Nerazzurri the all-clear on new deals for Simone Inzaghi, Lautaro Martinez, and Nicolo Barella.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

It is now only a matter of time before Inter owners Suning secure a massive new loan from US fund PIMCO.

This will allow the Nerazzurri owners to refinance their debt to Oaktree Capital before the due date on the twentieth of this month.

Therefore, Suning will remain in control of Inter. Their shares will not pass into the hands of Oaktree.

That is obviously an important development for Inter off the pitch.

But it will also be an important turning point from a sporting perspective.

So long as there has been uncertainty about the ownership situation, Suning have been reluctant to green light any major decisions planning for the squad.

But now, the owners are standing on solid ground. Therefore, the Nerazzurri will have the OK to go to work sealing some important business.

PIMCO Loan Gives Inter Green Light On Inzaghi, Lautaro & Barella Extensions

Inter will be able to operate in the summer transfer market knowing exactly what the situation is at the top of the club.

But just as important as any signings and sales will be keeping the existing squad together.

Firstly, Inter will have to get moving on a contract extension for coach Simone Inzaghi.

As it stands, the 48-year-old’s deal runs out at the end of next June.

Inter certainly can’t allow that to continue to be the case for too much longer if they want to continue together with Inzaghi into next season – which they certainly do.

Reports indicate that Inter are ready to offer Inzaghi a new two-year deal running until the end of June 2027.

And captain Lautaro Martinez and midfielder Nicolo Barella are both under contract with Inter until the end of June 2026.

Both are absolutely key members of the starting eleven. Therefore, the Nerazzurri want to seal extensions for both.

And the new loan to owners Suning looks to be the signal that that can finally happen.
