Pierre Kalulu and Tommaso Pobega have returned to training with the rest of the squad at Milanello. As confirmed by Stefano Pioli earlier today, both have been called up for Milan-Genoa and could even get some minutes.

Kalulu had been out since the middle of March due to a knee injury, which he sustained very quickly after recovering from another serious injury. Pobega, meanwhile, had been out since December after undergoing hip surgery. In short, it’s good to see both back.

During his pre-match press conference earlier today, following the return to training for both, Pioli was also asked about their availability for tomorrow’s game. He confirmed that he has decided to call up both of them: “They will be called up and will also be able to play part of the match,” he stated.

Mike Maignan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, on the other hand, will miss the game due to injury and this means that we will see an attacking-minded XI tomorrow. Instead of the Englishman, Samuel Chukwueze will get the chance, with Christian Pulisic moving into the middle.

It’s not the most high-profile game, but a win would still be nice to boost the morale after a tough few weeks.
